I had a OB appointment this morning. I've lost 3 lbs. in a week. The doctor is not concerned -- she blames it on the flu -- but Erik is ready to head to the hills. I've gained a total of 15 lbs. this whole pregnancy which was my goal. I would have gained 50 lbs if it meant not getting this damn flu.
I have never, ever been this sick. I coughed up a bunch of green stuff last night. I told my doctor I was going to save it, add some red and make a Christmas Art Project! Doc REALLY wants me to take Tylenol with Codeine and I politely refused. She laughed at me when I told her I took a half Tylenol on Monday. "Kari! You can take TWO of them!" I hung my head. I'm too tired to fight the glorious drugs anymore. Tonight I'm totally taking a whole dose. I'm sorry, Piper.
Other than the flu, there's nothing that I care enough about to post. I'm sick! The world should stop spinning and take care of me! Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!

I bet Piper would like the codeine. I'm glad you're doing the full dose of Tylenol, though! :)
the weight will come back as soon as you start eating normally and drinking more fluids.
I lost like 10 pounds with mono and it came back as soon as I started getting better.

When did you start letting Jessie post to your blog? I didn't know she was sick, but I could have sworn that I hear her voice in that post....
babies love drugs. just do it... haven't you heard that slogan before. i'm sure it applies to this situation.
Sorry to hear you've been sick this whole pregnancy. I can relate....although mine wasn't cold/flu I threw up the entire 10 months up until Avery was born. I only gained 18 lbs. So I think you'll be OK. Avery was an 8 pounder so she was a growing! Good luck in these last few weeks!! I can't wait to hear the exciting news!! Hang in there :)
