You know what I just realized? Both Elizabeth Masen and Edward had Spanish Influenza! I am obviously having this hellish flu experience to relate better to them. It all makes sense.
My mantra tonight: Edward survived this... kinda.
Or at least if you look like you aren't going to survive it, Carlisle will turn you...
but let's hope he gets Piper out of there first. E-section style ;)
