Oh lord am I sick. Most of you know this but I haven't properly whined on my web site so here goes.
Monday night: Wake up with a tummy ache. It almost feels like a panic attack. My heart is beating fast, I can't calm my mind, spinning and ungodly horribly nauseous.
Tuesday 2am: First puke. I never puke, I think to myself. This will be it. Just this once. Dang, everyone is going to get sick now.
Tuesday 2am - 10am: Vomit five more times. Fever hits 100. I'm shaking uncontrollably and weeping. When I do sleep, I have those crazy fever dreams. Erik brings me Piper to nurse every few hours. When Erik and Finn run up to Cub, I have to practically throw her to go vomit.
Tuesday 11am - 6pm: Hey, I'm starting to feel better. I drink some gatorade without throwing up. I eat some crackers.
Tuesday 8pm: Go to bed fully expecting everyone to wake up with the stomach flu.
Wednesday: Hooray, I feel better. I'm weak and dehydrated. Make up for it by slamming Gatorade and eating peanut butter and cheese sandwiches, cookies, chips.
Wednesday 9pm: Corinne and I made fajitas and mexican rice for Testing America's Test Kitchen Night. Nausea returns. Stupid, stupid food. I hate you. Go to bed and pray that it passes.
Wednesday 11pm: Vomit. What the hell is wrong with me?
Thursday: I barely slept last night -- I was too busy trying to will away the nausea. The diarrhea hit at 5am. Erik has an important meeting he has to go to. Turn TV on, pray this goes away.
Sorry, wow, does anyone enjoy reading a play-by-play of my sickness? It was fun to write anyway. No one else here is sick. Pretty sure this is food poisoning. Or regular poisoning?

oh, I thought you were feeling better.
Hope it goes away soon.
Oh, man. I thought food poisoning was a 24 hr deal. It sounds like the flu to me but then again I'm just saying that because we had all those symptoms too. We would feel fine a few days later and then eat something and get nauseous all over again! I'm still scared to eat some things!
Can't imagine nursing while puking. So sorry. Hang in there.
Definitely poison.
booooooo.
Holy crap Kari! I didn't know you were sick! Poor baby! Vomitting is the WORST ever! Thank goodness the kids haven't gotten it yet...or Erik. Yikes!
FEEL BETTER...sending antacidical, room-not-spinning thoughts.
Hey, maybe it was the eyeshadow from Monday!?
obligatory comment.
Pretty much the only food poisoning that involves a fever is salmonella. So it's either that or a virus. Either way, suck. I hope it's gone for good now.
Why do you think I always insist on being "head chef"? I'm killing you slowly....
