Advent Wreath

Cheryl found this idea on the Michaels web site and, since we're both total suckers for crafty Michael projects, decided to make a similar idea for Finn. She bought all the stuff (thanks Cheryl!), I brought my crazy bow-making skills, and Corinne came along because she had just had major surgery, had nothing better to do and she can't resist my crafty charm.

Not to mention that Corinne was supposed to lay on the couch watching soap operas and basically assembled all of the tins for this wreath. Hello......? Credit? Ha Ha. But it did turn out very cute.

But what is IN the tins? Chocolate? Legos? Corinne's vicodin? mmmmm.

Corinne, I knew I'd be in trouble for not mentioning that we forced you into manual labor. See the numbers and bows on the tins? Corinne put them on. Above and beyond her call of duty, she also made the artistic decisions on where in the wreath the color combo should be placed and what color ribbon shall go with what color tin.

Times turned dire when we realized we didn't have enough numbers to cover all the dates. Corinne came to the rescue by freehand-cutting numbers out of sticker paper.

Without Corinne's help and expertise on this wreath, we surely would have perished. Corinne saved Christmas.

Better?

The tins have candy in them. Jelly beans, M&Ms or Skittles. We read a devotional from a Christmas book before he gets the candy. Mmmm candy for breakfast.

Yes. That tribute is exactly what I needed.
